RockCross Joins TheMint400!

Updated: Oct 16, 2021

We all know what they say about timing… and they are right. For RockCross, the timing is absolutely right. For Off-Road motorsports, the timing of RockCross is absolutely right also. Why? Because Off-Road, four-wheel motorsports have outgrown their segmented life… outgrown limited terrain types, outgrown visibility and media coverage limitations. It is time for Promoters to join forces. It is time for competition types to converge. It is time for off-road, motorsports to claim its rightful position on the world race podium… on top and center.

For rock-based sports… It officially began in the late 90’s and early aughts. This is when rockcrawling found its way from a recreation to a full-blown motorsport with the help of ARCA (RCAA) and later, UROC. That sport is still amazing.

But while insane climbs and drops are incredible to watch professionals drive over, it misses the understanding of standings and winners. It is hard to follow how a team is doing on an obstacle, much less in the event. To keep spectators, it needs more.

RockCross is the answer. Everyone understands the Green Flag and all cheer the checks. RockCross is that simple. Shotgun starts, Rock obstacle that can snatch a win from anyone at anytime, and toe to toe slugfest competition the old-fashioned way.

Plus, we know that people love off-road racing for all the right reasons. That is why RockCross promoter Ranch Pratt and his team at Race Face Productions have joined forces with the Maratelli brother to bring RockCross to TheMint400 for 2022 and beyond.

The Mint 400 is the oldest and most prestigious off-road race in America and is held each March in the treacherous foothills of Sin City. The multi-day event features a massive vehicle parade down the world-famous Las Vegas Strip, a two-day festival on historic Fremont Street, and two days of grueling off-road racing on a desolate and punishing 400-mile racecourse. Nearly 65,000 off-road and recreational enthusiasts come to watch 500 race teams in 50+ classes from 25 different states and 15 different countries go door to door, while the Livestream coverage is beamed to over 800,000 viewers worldwide.

No other off-road race allows fans the thrilling experience of watching the top off-road race teams from around the world battle for fame and glory, in a festival setting – complete with a luxury VIP section. The Mint 400 is “The Great American Off-Road Race” and now, with RockCross, the event is even greater.
